Handcrafted in Italy

Bold, unique and distinctive: these words perfectly describe the Basilio mirror. Its wide, beautifully shaped wooden frame has a powerful presence and is richly detailed without appearing overly ornate. This makes the Basilio a true statement mirror that works beautifully in both classical and modern interiors.

A characteristic feature of the design is the deep matt black inner band. This dark line interrupts the gold or silver finish and creates a striking contrast. It gives the wide frame additional depth and beautifully emphasises the different profiles of the frame.

The corners are also beautifully finished. The decorative corner ornaments form an elegant part of the design and give the Basilio its distinctive Baroque character. The combination of the wide profile, black inner band and ornaments creates a stately appearance.

The Basilio is particularly suitable as a large mirror and can also be produced in sizes exceeding two metres. This makes it ideal for high walls and spacious rooms where the mirror can become an integral part of the interior.

Use the Basilio as an impressive floor mirror or full-length mirror, place it on a generous mantelpiece or hang it horizontally or vertically as a wall mirror. The Basilio also makes a striking decorative feature in hotels, restaurants, shops, showrooms and other commercial interiors.

The Basilio is handcrafted in Italy from wood. With a frame width of 13 cm and a frame depth of 6 cm, the mirror has a powerful three-dimensional appearance. The hand-applied finish with gold or silver leaf emphasises the artisanal character of the frame.

Black-Silver
A deep matt black base combined with silver leaf. The silver is not patinated and therefore retains its bright appearance. The contrast with the black inner band emphasises the shape and ornaments of the frame.

Black-Antique Gold
The gold-coloured areas are finished by hand with gold leaf and subsequently patinated. This creates a warm antique gold appearance with additional depth and character, combined with deep matt black accents.

Black-Antique Silver
The silver-coloured areas are finished by hand with silver leaf and subsequently patinated. The patina gives the silver a distinctive antique silver appearance that contrasts beautifully with the deep matt black.

Entirely finished by hand
The colour finish of every Basilio is applied by hand using traditional craftsmanship. As a result, subtle variations in colour and patina may occur. These small differences emphasise the unique character of each mirror.

Thanks to its wide frame and generous range of available sizes, the Basilio is particularly suitable for larger spaces. A version measuring two metres or more can give an entire wall character as a floor mirror, while a wide horizontal Basilio looks particularly impressive above a large fireplace or piece of furniture.

The Basilio combines the rich detailing of a Baroque mirror with strong black contrasts. This allows the mirror to create an exciting contrast in a modern or minimalist interior and to define the room as a decorative statement piece in its own right.
